Certified Welding Inspector

CWI Needed for outage in 2025. Dates run early February to mid-April.

Pay depends on years of CWI experience, familiarity with coal-fired boilers and industry experience. Range is $45-55hr.

Schedule is 6 10's, Monday through Saturday. 7 day Per Diem, $125 per day.

ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough inspections of welding activities, including pre-weld, in-process, and post-weld inspections.Verify that welding procedures, qualifications, and certifications comply with applicable codes and standards.Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and welding procedures.Document and report any non-conformances, defects, or deviations from quality standards.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and welding personnel to resolve quality issues.Perform visual and dimensional inspections of welds and welded components.Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records and reports.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.Provide training and guidance to welding personnel on quality standards and best practices.Essential SkillsCertified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is required.Strong knowledge of welding codes, standards, and specifications (e.g., AWS, ASME, API).Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to quality assurance.Willingness to travel to various job sites as required.

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00
