Cyber and Platforms Engineering Manager

Our programs support multiple Federal agencies, the Department of Defense and often focused on the space initiatives of our government customers. + Will be accountable to the Engineering Project Manager (EPM) for technical, cost, and schedule performance within the Engineering Management Portfolio. + Be listed as the Control Account Owner for all Control Accounts that fall under their portfolio. + Primarily responsible for working with the EPM to ensure efficient engineering processes are being followed and adhered to in order to deliver capability, on schedule, to the customer. + Responsible for managing dependencies between teams within their Engineering Management Portfolio and will support the EPM in management of external dependencies elsewhere within the enterprise + Adhere to Agile principles and ensure teams follow Agile cadence to ensure the best possible product delivery to the customer + Identify and track all Risks and Opportunities + Identify and track iteration events and releases + Responsible for leading the respective product teams to ensure the following + Ensure that each team is only working on the prescribed scope as laid into the IMS + Ensure teams are updating Jira on a daily basis + Ensure teams are decomposing stories and are capturing performance correctly + Ensure teams are conducing daily standups + Ensure teams are conducting unit testing and regression testing + Responsible for ensuring personnel charging is correct, monitoring weekly hours report to ensure + Manage and report on team technical issues and resolutions + Support EPM in proposal development to include authoring and reviewing BOEs and Engineering Estimates + Ensure team technical commitments are clearly understood and met or exceeded + Produce ETC/EVM and other engineering metrics to identify and address all technical or staffing issues while managing cost/schedule + Work with EPM to provide timely and accurate projections of engineering resource requirements and identify staffing needs + Maintain backlog of assigned features to meet technical commitments + Ensure teams follow organizational processes + Nominally attends all milestone events (in-person when possible) + Supports the EPM in managing and forecasting technical maturity, including when milestone maturity can be claimed and what OE is required to support such a claim Qualifications + Active Secret Clearance + 12 years of professional experience + Strong Infrastructure/Cyber/Network Engineering Background + Experience managing and delivering complex DoD systems + Solid understanding of Earned Value (SPI/CPI/TCPI) + Cost and Schedule- Explanation of Variances + ETC and EAC + Development of Return to Green Plans + Experience with Agile Development Processes and tools (e.g., Jira, Agility, Confluence) + Experience with the DevSecOps process and integrating into Software Development + (Preferred) Agile Certification + Experience with Missile Defense Systems + Experience executing Earned Value Management (EVM) + Project management Experience + Experience leading teams + Experience generating metrics/KPIs + Demonstrated strong communications skills Essential Requirements: US Citizenship is required.
