CGI Federal is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Authorization Manager to join our team. As a Cyber Security Authorization Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the authorization and accreditation processes for our information systems, ensuring compliance with federal security standards and policies. This role involves managing the risk management framework (RMF) process, conducting security assessments, and working closely with stakeholders to maintain the security posture of our systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cyber security, excellent project management skills, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
This position can be located remotely anywhere in the U.S.
• Manage the authorization and accreditation processes for information systems, ensuring compliance with federal security standards and policies.
• Oversee the implementation of the RMF process, including system categorization, security control selection, implementation, assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring.
• Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security requirements.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports (RARs), and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
• Collaborate with system owners, IT staff, and other stakeholders to address security findings and implement corrective actions.
• Provide analysis, consultation, advice, and support to system owners and other stakeholders on security requirements and best practices.
• Stay current with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to proactively address potential risks.
• Develop and deliver training and awareness programs to educate employees on security policies and procedures.
• Ensure continuous monitoring of security controls and maintain the security posture of information systems throughout their lifecycle.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in cyber security, with a focus on authorization and accreditation processes.
• Strong understanding of federal security standards and policies, such as NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
• Experience with cloud security and technologies, such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, or Azure.
• Experience with the RMF process and security assessment methodologies.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• At least one relevant certification(s): CISSP, CISM, or GSLC.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
• Master’s degree in Cyber Security or a related field.
• Knowledge of advanced persistent threats (APTs) and techniques used by cyber adversaries.
• Experience with security incident response and digital forensics.
• Familiarity with security frameworks, such as MITRE ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain.
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $99,200.00 - $241,600.00.
