Leidos is seeking a summer intern with an Identity and Access Management background to join our team in support of the SMIT contract, the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT), Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, the Leidos team will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network. The successful candidate will support Cyber solutions and analysis for the NMCI network.
Primary Responsibilities
Contribute to the Cyber Identity Engineering team’s projects
Assist with develop as-built and to-be designs, functional specifications, or other documentation associated with the engineering process
Assist with building and developing artifacts to support the RMF process
Support new business related to tools, services, and applications such as Active Directory, Azure, Delinea, Ansible, Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM), Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), DHCP, DNS, WINS, GPOs & PKI
Assist with analyzing, evaluating, and planning methods of approach to provide solutions
Assist with performing unit testing, including the development of automated tests of related software
Support testing activities such as input to test plans, testing support, data conditions
Participate in the planning of upgrades, replacement, configuration, and maintenance of security architecture and engineering projects
Support the engineering of solutions that provide secure, effective and efficient operation of systems, architecture, and topology
Participate in new and existing IT modernization, expansion, and improvement of security architecture and engineering projects for the NMCI network
Assist with analyzing process improvement areas/recommend changes to processes/procedures for efficiencies/cost-savings
Collaborate with external customers, management, subcontractors, vendors, and other engineering disciplines
Comply with ITSM processes and procedures
Comply with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) governance and use MBSE tools
Comply with Cybersecurity requirements within the DoDI 8500.01 and DON 5239
Support the development and maintenance of processes, checklists, and procedures
Basic Qualifications
Enrolled in a degree program as a Cyber Security, Computer Science, or similar major with graduation planned in 2026-2027
GPA of 3.0 or higher
Experience with Windows Server 2016 / 2019 / 2022
Experience with SQL Server 2019 / 2022
Experience with Linux / Unix operating systems
Experience with cloud environments such as Azure and AWS.
Familiarity designing, configuring, and managing Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, DNS, DHCP, WINS.
Familiarity with coding/programming (e.g. PowerShell, Ansible, Python, etc.)
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Ability to obtain Security+ (or other relevant) certification to meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with designing, configuring and managing FIM 2010 R2/MIM 2016 synchronization
Familiarity with VB.NET
Familiarity designing, configuring, and managing Delinea
Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory Federated Services structure
Familiarity with Cloud Engineering
Familiarity with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificates
Familiarity with DISA STIG and U.S. Cyber Command OPORD requirements
Familiarity with requirements analysis and/or architecture synthesis and design

Pay Range:Pay Range $46,800.00 - $84,600.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
