Cyber Security Engineer

Job Summary:

Our client in Irvine,CA is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer. This is a contract position.

What You Will Do:

This team is responsible for reviewing modern applications, identifying potential security vulnerabilities and providing development teams clear and streamlined remediations. Your role will involve reviewing software and infrastructure components within the technology landscape. This role also will support the development and operations of our in-house and commercial security tooling (CSPM, SAST, API Security).  Communicate security vulnerabilities and remediations to software development teams. Where possible provide hands on software remediations to development teams. Triage cloud infrastructure vulnerabilities identified by our CSPM solution.  Contribute to in-house developed security automations and tooling. What You Will Need:

Basics:

BA/BS degree in Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience required. Wide experience in cybersecurity compliance, including hands-on experience with analytics, tracking, and reporting. Ability to review source code for security vulnerabilities. Strong object oriented (Python, Go, nodeJS, etc.) and SQL programming background. Salary range: 120k - 150k annual.
