We are seeking a Cyber Security Engineer who will be responsible for interpreting and implementing various federal, Department of Defense (DOD), Department of the Army (DA), Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM), and local Information Assurance and security directives. This role involves developing, promulgating, and ensuring compliance with policies, methods, and procedures related to the Army Information Assurance Program. Additionally, the Cyber Security Engineer will prepare and implement the Information Systems (IS) accreditation program in accordance with DOD standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
+ Interpret and implement federal, DOD, DA, NETCOM, and local Information Assurance and security directives.
+ Develop, promulgate, and monitor compliance with policies, methods, and procedures for the Army Information Assurance Program.
+ Prepare and implement the Information Systems (IS) accreditation program in accordance with the Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification, Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), and Certificates of Networthiness (CoN).
+ Develop accreditation packages conforming to DOD and DA regulatory guidance.
+ Prepare all required accreditation and approval documents.
+ Lead projects that require interfacing with the DOD and ensure successful completion.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with Information Assurance and Risk Management Framework (RMF).
+ Proficiency in using Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
+ Active Secret Clearance with the ability to submit for a TS/SCI.
+ Prior DOD experience, preferably with the Army, but any branch is acceptable.
+ Ability to lead teams and projects.
+ CISSP Certification or willingness to obtain it.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience approving RMF packages.
+ Degree in Cyber Security, Information Science, or Computer Science preferred.
+ Top Secret Clearance.
Work Environment
The position supports a large Army contract at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. The team comprises roughly 67 employees who perform sustainment work on older systems while also advancing and adding capabilities to next-generation products. This role is crucial for ensuring state-of-the-art GPS technology for our troops and their military vehicles. The role offers semi-remote work flexibility when there isn't cleared work to be done.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $72.00 - $87.00
