Cyber Security Engineer
Description We are currently seeking a Cyber Security Engineer for a long term contract employment opportunity. This role is based in Estero, Florida, United States and is pivotal in our aim to build functional systems that improve customer experience. The Cyber Security Engineer will play a key role in defining, building, and maintaining automation and security systems. Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain automation systems for security requirements and capabilities. • Integrate security measures into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure secure coding practices and early detection of vulnerabilities. • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify potential threats and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. • Collaborate with development and operations teams to create and maintain a secure infrastructure for software deployment. • Stay updated on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and controls, incorporating new security technologies into the organization's practices. • Facilitate communication between security, development, and operations teams to ensure a cohesive and collaborative approach to security. • Research problems and break them into deliverable parts, working with a Lean mindset to deliver value quickly. • Implement the best industry standard practices and automate tasks as needed. • Develop cloud first, large-scale, public web facing software utilizing the appropriate technology for the task at hand. • Work with senior management to intake new projects. Requirements • Proficient in Checkpoint technology, demonstrating a strong understanding of its application in cyber security. • Experienced with Cisco ASA, including its setup, management, and troubleshooting. • Demonstrable knowledge in Cisco Technologies, with a focus on their role in cyber security. • Proficiency in Cloud Technologies, with an emphasis on security aspects. • Solid understanding of Firewall Technologies, including their implementation and maintenance. • Familiarity with AB Testing, particularly its application in a cyber security context. • Auditing skills, especially in relation to cyber security, and the ability to identify potential security gaps. • Experience with AWS Technologies, and understanding of their potential security implications. • Strong grasp of Configuration Management, and its relevance to maintaining cyber security. • General Cyber Security skills, including knowledge of common threats, defence strategies, and emerging trends in the field.
