Description We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Cybersecurity Engineer to design, implement, and manage security measures that protect our organization’s cloud and on-premises environments. This role requires expertise in Rapid7, Splunk, and SentinelOne, as well as hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will be adept at building security architectures, conducting risk assessments, and leading incident response efforts. Responsibilities: + Design, implement, and maintain robust security solutions across cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) and on-premises systems. + Integrate and optimize tools such as Rapid7, Splunk, and SentinelOne to strengthen the organization’s security posture. + Develop and enforce secure configurations for cloud workloads, networks, and applications. + Conduct vulnerability management and penetration testing, and recommend solutions to mitigate identified risks. + Monitor and analyze security events, investigate anomalies, and respond to incidents using advanced tools and methodologies. + Design and implement identity and access management (IAM) strategies, including multi-factor authentication (MFA) and least-privilege principles. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the development and operational lifecycle. + Evaluate new security tools and technologies, providing recommendations to enhance overall security. + Document security architecture designs, configurations, and operational procedures. + Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, FedRAMP). Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). + Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer, with hands-on expertise in Rapid7, Splunk, and SentinelOne. + Strong knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud platforms, including cloud-native security tools and best practices. + In-depth understanding of firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and endpoint protection solutions. + Experience in designing and implementing security architectures for hybrid environments. + Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or Terraform) to support security initiatives. + Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls. + Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to solve complex security issues. + U.S. citizenship required due to security clearance requirements. Preferred Qualifications: + Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or GIAC certifications. + Experience with threat modeling, risk assessments, and digital forensics. + Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks, such as HIPAA, GDPR, or CMMC. + Familiarity with container security and DevSecOps practices.
