Cole Engineering Services (CESI), a By Light company, is recognized as a premier provider of modeling and simulation (M&S) training solutions to the Federal Government and industry. Position OverviewCole Engineering Services is seeking highly motivated candidates to join a team in testing and validating training content for PCTE as well assist in building ranges for our cyber warriors to train on.
This position is located on site in the Fort Meade, MD area and is 100% full time on site at first. Hybrid work may become available in the future.
Responsibilities Candidates will support the design and creation of cyber range training test cases, scenarios, and procedures that incorporates the use of a variety of software applications and tools.Performs unit testing, configuration item and system level tests, and support verification/validation testing as required.Develops test plans and test reports for all levels of testing performed.Works closely with the customer, development staff and systems engineers to thoroughly understand the system requirements and software implementation.Will be required to work with a team of Engineers from a diverse background of expertise.Candidate(s) will support regular validation of training content; including ensuring that all of the listed cyber security tools function as intended.Candidate will perform testing of existing training content to ensure the content is available on demand, that the training material is accurate, and that all necessary resources are available and function as intended.Candidate will support Range Engineers’ building and testing of new content.Candidate will participate in building and supporting virtualized networks and workstations as required. Required Experience/Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as computer engineering, computer science, information technology, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university. May substitute relevant military or work experience in lieu of degree. Two (2) years’ experience in a Test Engineer position testing new software baselines,CompTIA Security+ certification (or other DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification)Must be able to take initiative, communicate with team members, and identify and resolve potential issuesExcellent communication skills both verbal and written are required. Preferred Experience/Qualifications Cyber Operations TrainingDevOps experienceExperience with common cyber security tools such as Splunk, SecurityOnion, Nessus, and WiresharkExperience with Jira/Confluence Hardware troubleshooting and fault diagnosis. Experience with virtualizationFamiliar with Linux. Special Requirements/Security ClearancePlease note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status and a TS/SCI security clearance. Security Clearance requirements will be specified in the Government's Task Order.
Salary RangeSalary Minimum: $100,000
Salary Mid: $110,000
Salary Maximum: $120,000
The annual base salary provided is a guideline for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
