Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineer in the Import/Export industry. Situated in Cape Canaveral, Florida, you'll be joining a dynamic team where your responsibilities will be critical to maintaining the integrity of our network and ensuring the safety of our data. Responsibilities: • Implement and manage security protocols and processes to safeguard company data and applications. • Monitor network activities vigilantly for potential security breaches and respond to security violations when necessary. • Collaborate with technology services for device hardening and vulnerability remediation tasks. • Conduct regular tests including process reviews and penetration testing to ensure compliance with established security measures. • Create comprehensive security reports for the management and security committee. • Investigate any detected violations thoroughly to prevent future occurrences. • Utilize skills in FortiGate, Fortinet Firewalls, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager for various tasks. Requirements • Proven experience in the Import/Export industry, preferably in a technical role • Proficiency in using FortiGate, a leading cybersecurity software • Hands-on experience with Fortinet Firewalls, including setup, configuration, and maintenance • Expertise in using FortiAnalyzer for network security logging and reporting • Familiarity with FortiManager for centralized network security management • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve security breaches and vulnerabilities • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure • Strong communication skills to explain technical details to non-technical colleagues • Relevant certification in cybersecurity or related field would be an advantage • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Commitment to staying updated with the latest developments in the field of cybersecurity.
