Cyber Security Exercise Planner III

You will be assisting to accelerate early stage technologies, support technology transfer and solve unique Government problems. ICON team members act as partners with the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community and other Government agencies to serve in the defense of National Security. operations.


The Cybersecurity Exercise Planner III develops cyber exercises for Combatant Commands. They develop Exercise Plans and plans using relevant policies, directives, and doctrines to develop and execute custom, realistic, scenario-based exercises to test the effectiveness of cybersecurity training tools, processes, and procedures. They coordinate and facilitate requirement gathering and work with stakeholders and process owners to define and document required cybersecurity process evaluations. They draft and maintain exercise lifecycle documents, including after-action reporting, lessons learned, and process improvement plans that incorporate recommendations and modifications to Cybersecurity Plans, processes, and protocols. The Cybersecurity Exercise Planner III supervises, and mentors subordinate project and ICON Innovation Collaborative (IIC) staff.

Responsibilities\: 

Develops exercises for Combatant Commands Develop and execute realistic, scenario-based exercises to test cyber security effectiveness. Coordinate and facilitate requirement gathering. Maintain strong attention to detail. Maintain a positive attitude and work as a member of a cohesive team as well as independently. Interact with all levels of the organization in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful way.  Multi-task efficiently and work in a fast pace environment on multiple projects. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Clearance Required\: 

Active TS-SCI Clearance with poly  

Minimum Education\: 

A Bachelor's degree in an IT related field

Minimum Years of Experience\: 

At least 9 years demonstrated experience developing, researching, designing, implement, testing, and evaluating software and systems.

Preferred\: 

Prior experience as a Cyber Security Exercise planer IAT Level III DoD 8570 Fully Compliant with formal Computing Environment certification (i.e. CCNA, CCNP, VCP-CTA, VCP-DCV, VCP-NX, Microsoft, Linux, ect.)
Demonstrated skills and expertise in the following technologies\: SQL/XSQL Server Administrator (SA), Microsoft O/S and security, Information Assurance (IA), IP Data Networking and Vulnerability Assessment product engineering and design, IP network vulnerability scanner Tier 3 support, REM 3.X / Retina 5.X and greater, ACAS Security Center 4.X / Nessus 5.X or greater and HP Tenable Nessus products Currently active process improvement certification (e.g., Certified CMMI Associate, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or above, PMI PMP, ITIL, etc.)

The base salary range for this position is $167k to $180k. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
