As a Cheesecake Cyber Security Intern, you will play an integral part in supporting our Tech Services department by assisting with ongoing projects and responsibilities that relate to your future career. You’ll have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of how a Tech Services department functions by interacting with the entire team as well as cross functionally with other departments. Reporting to the Information Security Manager, you will work with a Tech Services team of 9, located in Calabasas Hills, CA, supporting the Tech Services function for a $3.4 billion public company with over 300 restaurants and more than 47,500 staff members. Here’s more of what you’ll get to do: Conduct Security Awareness Initiatives – Assist in executing phishing simulations, developing awareness materials, and tracking user engagement to improve cybersecurity culture. Monitor and Analyze Security Alerts – Support the security team by reviewing alerts, analyzing logs, and escalating potential security threats for further investigation. Assist with Vulnerability Assessments – Help identify security gaps by scanning systems, documenting risks, and recommending potential mitigation strategies Research and Implement Security Controls – Contribute to identifying outdated security practices, researching modern security controls, and assisting in their implementation. What we require: Currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution. Completed a minimum 2 years in post-secondary education. Majoring in Cyber Security or related field. Minimum GPA of 3.0. Available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week Available to work from the Support Center at least 3 days per week (Tues, Wed, Thurs) Proficient in Wireshark and an understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Prefer: Nmap, scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) About the Company: Recognized as a Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For® since 2014, The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated is a global $3.4 billion public company with 47,500 staff members across more than 300 casual dining restaurants, including The Cheesecake Factory, North Italia, Grand Lux Cafe and Fox Restaurant Concepts.
