Cyber Security Manager

This position is responsible for leading and managing the assurance element or technical element of the cyber security program and is responsible for the cyber security of information systems. Plans, organizes, coordinates, and supervises activities of cyber security personnel engaged in the secure design, development, implementation, assurance, and support of information systems, infrastructure elements, applications, and services.

Duties and Responsibilities\rDevelop and monitor operational plans, budgets, goals, and priorities for department elements including unclassified cyber security, classified cyber security and telecommunications security. Plan and coordinate the execution of cyber security programs and projects managing scope, resources, cost, and schedule. Develop and plan department metrics and drive continuous improvements through the Honeywell Operating System. Build and maintain relationships across the business and with customers to drive cyber security awareness and compliance. May serve as the Information Security Site Manager (ISSM). Directly supervise associates, performing cyber security responsibilities including interviewing, selection, and training.Performance management including appraising performance, coaching, employee development, and reward and recognition.Utilize both verbal and written communication skills to engage employees. Identify and develop talent for effective succession and pipeline development. Ensures the development, documentation, and presentation of information systems security education, awareness, and training activities for contractor management, cyber security personnel, application owners, data stewards, and users. Develops and documents additional or modified protection measures for those threats and identifies protection measures/practices that apply to all site systems.Obtains approvals for modified protection measures from the Sr. Cyber Security Manager and cognizant AO. Ensures investigation and documentation of suspected cyber security incidents, categorization of incidents, and retention of documentation. Recommends changes in the NNSA site INFOCON status to the Sr. Cyber Security Manager and AO. Oversees risk assessments and ensures risk is accurately captured so the Sr. Cyber Security Manager and AO can make confident risk based decisions. Oversees all cyber technical work and ensures vulnerabilities and or cyber breaches are remediated per approved plans and processes.You Must Have\rU.S. Citizenship in order to obtain and maintain DOE Q security clearance. Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field. 7+ years of experience in cyber security or related field. x1+ years of leading others including budget responsibility.We Value\rMaster's Degree preferred. Demonstrated experience in progressively more challenging and responsible roles. Capable of supervising 10-15 direct reports with a proven track record of mentoring, coaching and growing talent. Thorough knowledge of securing information systems, applications, and security principles. Broad knowledge of cyber security applications and tools. Proven effective oral and written communications. Previous experience in a customer facing role.Familiarity with NIST Cyber Security publications and requirements and CNSSI publications and requirements. Proven experience in accrediting Government InformationSystems and managing Information System Security Plans.
