Cyber Security Technical Writer (Clearance Required)

We're hiring a Cyber Security Technical Writer to join a team that secures the Nation’s critical infrastructure. If you're a Technical Writer with Federal experience, please consider joining us as we help build resilient cyber security communications.

Key Responsibilities:

Write documents and deliverables for a cybersecurity related organization; collaborate with creatives and cybersecurity experts to draft technical documents and communication deliverables.Utilize DHS style guide and quality control measures to provide professional technical writing and editing expertise for informational products, presentations, press releases, reports, etc.Write and/or edit SOPs, reports, slick sheets, presentations, social media messages and other materials as requested.Research highly technical information and gather input from cybersecurity team members.Coordinate stakeholder input, fact-checking, and integration of written text and graphic design.Prepare, design and publish documents and media that are distributed to government, national and international users.Support the development of targeted and strategic communications collateral (e.g., Annual Reports, monthly operational newsletters).

Basic Qualifications:

ACTIVE high-level government clearance.5+ years of experience in technical writing.

Additional Skills:

2+ years' supporting a federal client.Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.Experience supporting technical cyber security work; experience writing and/or editing cybersecurity documents and publications; excellent research skills.Experience supporting DHS programs or initiatives.Ability to lead discussions, discuss project status and propose solutions to senior government clients.Customer-service orientation with strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.Knowledge of current events, policies and issues impacting critical infrastructure.Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively, along with a high degree of initiative.Ability to work independently under minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$89,203.00 - $151,646.00
