Key Responsibilities:

Provides expertise and direction in developing and modifying computer-based scientific, technical, and business software systems. Expertise in design development, code, testing, and debugging software.May work in one or several areas, such as equipment or software design, engineering evaluation or test, configuration management procedures, statistical analysis, and modeling Works with users to define existing or new system scope and objectivesProvides analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases.Plan and schedule new applications systems projects with users, systems software, and computer center operations personnel, including identifying objectives, time frames, costs, and manpower requirements.  Performs tasks necessary to ensure the identification and documentation of hazards within software systems using various analysis tools and techniques. Reviews and evaluates systems and software for adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safety.Confirms design mitigations are captured in the design and its documentation and verifies implementation. May perform as a project lead responsible for the instruction, assigning, direction, and monitoring of the performance of assigned systems developers/analysts working on a specific project.  

Work Environment:

Location: Annapolis Junction, MD [On-site]Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20% TravelWorking Hours: Standard 40 hours per week

Qualifications:

Required:

Clearance: Top Secret with SCI5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.

Desired:

Understanding of requirements and government information assurance and cyber security standards and practices.Experience verifying and validating systems and assessing cyber threats

Basic Compensation:

$80,000 to $120,000

This range is for the Maryland area only

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
