KBR is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer to join our team onsite in El Segundo, CA. This Cyber Systems Engineer will support the US Space Force (USSF) in developing, deploying, and sustaining Cyberspace Operations capabilities within the Space Systems Command Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power weapon system portfolio. We are looking for innovative, creative, and highly motivated individuals with experience integrating cyber capabilities with space, air, and ground architectures to support strategic planning and tactical execution of Defensive Cyber Operations and cybersecurity integration activities.

Supporting various systems architecting and engineering activities such as system requirements definition, design, interface management, data architecture development, verification and validation, systems integration, performance analysis, lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis, and technical performance assessmentsApply engineering knowledge of security solutions to design, develop and/or implement solutions to ensure programs are consistent with enterprise architecture security requirements and support full spectrum military cyberspace operationsEnsure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledgetechnical, schedule, and cost constraintsPerforming engineering analysis such as edge-node vulnerability assessments and develops technical requirements for
payloads based on findings; payload to platform integration; system software code reviewsSupporting development of system engineering items such as CONOPs, requirements definitions (or features, themes,
epics), system testing, algorithm document review, and interfaces to other application development efforts Working with external organizations, agencies, and offices to develop strategies in support of Department of Defense (DoD) architectures, define future capability and interoperability needs, develop system architectures, identify system level trades, and assess the performance of current and future architecture concept
Required Qualifications:
An active Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Comparted Information (SCI) eligibility is required. Must be willing to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartment Information and Special Access Programs and willing to consent to a Polygraph examination.Bachelor’s Degree and 14 years of experience or more experience or 4 additional years of relevant cybersecurity experience may be used in lieu of degree.Experience with cybersecurity integration with major weapons systems and defensive cyber operations working across space, air, and ground organizations to coordinate and identify system requirements that ensure end-to-end mission performance requirements are met.Individual skilled in network design(s), penetration testing, network enumeration / exploitation, system logging, incident response, forensic and malware analysis, familiarity with exploits and vulnerabilities outside of tool suites, and proficiency in Linux, Java, Python, Perl, and/or Bash Cyber Workforce Management Program (DoD 8140.01 and DoD 8570.01-m) Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level III and/or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level II certifiedScheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Basic Compensation: $175,000 to $200,000. This range is for the California area only
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
