Cyber Technical Specialist for Technical Resilience (Senior Consultant)
Position Summary

Deloitte’s Technical Resilience Team empowers organizations to navigate uncertainty, prepare for the risks that matter most, and thrive amidst disruption. From proactively identifying and assessing risks through conducting realistic crisis simulations, designing technical resilience for applications and cloud services, developing robust resilience playbooks, and operationalizing market solutions to improve incident response and recovery - we equip our clients with the capabilities they need to manage a continually evolving risk landscape and respond to and recover from disruptions efficiently. 

We are looking for a technology leader to join our team who has a clear understanding of systems and technologies found in a contemporary data center and cloud environments and is able to provide technical insights and industry subject matter expertise to our sales and delivery teams and clients. Responsibilities will include leading highly technical discussions and communicating highly technical content through written word, graphic representations, and verbal presentation using audience appropriate terms to non-technical delivery teams and client stakeholders.

Work you’ll do

Identify unique technical risks or single points of failure that could cause an extended business disruption or crisisSupport end-to-end technical management of engagements from identification to design through implementation and testingNavigate and discuss a variety of client technologies including legacy and cloud, on-premise and hosted – working to identify potential paths forward based on a client’s unique challengesAssist in designing operating models and techniques that maximize the adoption of risk and resilience methodsWorking knowledge of current technologies (cyber security, servers and virtual systems, networking, storage, database administration, cyber vaulting, software development lifecycle, replication strategies), and how these technologies are optimized in an effective enterprise architecture strategyImplement technologies that enable organizations to respond to and recover from events in a more proactive and adaptive mannerParticipate and facilitate in workshop and lab environmentsCollaborate with team members and clients on unique strategies that will enable organizations to withstand different internal and external risksSupport the Technical Resilience leadership and teams on pursuits and special projectsContribute to expand the Technical Resilience portfolio and the industries and clients we serve

Required:

3-5+ years of previous experience with infrastructure or application architecture and working with on-premise and cloud technology environments3-5+ years of related experience within consulting or professional services requiredBA/BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, or demonstrated technical background and experienceAbility to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serveLimited immigration sponsorship may be available

 Preferred:

Previous experience with backup & recovery or data protection technologies (e.g., Dell, Rubrik, Commvault)Prior experience in risk management or related field such as business continuity management and cyber riskDemonstrated prior experience working in Information Technology related roles with proven ability to develop and lead technical delivery and operations teamsStrong knowledge of on premise and hosted cloud strategies, tools and techniques, including experience designing, implementing or managing cloud solutions with at least two major cloud service providers.Working knowledge of data center operations, data center facilities management and infrastructureBasic understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery planning techniques and technologies, as well as the methods used in performing risk analysis and business impact analysisPrior experience designing and implementing large scale solutions or leading systems/data center migrations is preferredPrior experience in gathering technical requirements, performing gap and technical analysis, developing technical specifications, and architecting application solutions to roll out on a large scaleSolid teamwork and interpersonal skillsDisciplined program, project and time management skills with the proven ability to work in a cross functional, matrixed and diverse workforce environmentAbility to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment while ensuring the security, confidentiality and integrity of sensitive dataWorks well in an unstructured environmentA self-starter, highly motivated individual with the ability to work in a collaborative team environmentComfort, confidence and presence in conducting training, exercises or facilitated workshopsGrowth mindset, highly adaptable, able to adjust performance based on coachingTakes initiative, able to craft role and lead others, comes with a natural tendency towards solutionsBrings a positive approach, easy to work with, enjoys working with other accomplished, strong professionalsStrong communication skills with ability to lead workshops with technical client teams and drive consensus-based highly technical decisionsDemonstrated creativity and quality in writing reports, designing technical solutions, and developing presentationsStrategic, critical, logical, and creative thinker

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $107,659 - $207,763.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
