This cybersecurity team within the public sector is seeking a leader to develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity program to protect the organizations assets, data, and operational systems. This individual will help to mature the program and will work with all leaders, teams, and non-IT business stakeholders to provide effective and efficient delivery of cybersecurity services. You will be reporting directly into the CIO/ agency director and working across multiple highly influential groups in which a consultant/ service mindset is critical for success. A background in building and delivering strategic cybersecurity organizations as well as an involvement in overall digital transformation will be very beneficial for finding success in this space. You will be jumping into a fairly mature cybersecurity environment but will have a large opportunity to make your mark and improve the existing space as a leader. A nonpartisan approach is a must for this role as you will be involved in high level initiatives across varying political groups.
