The Consolidated Operations, Management, Engineering and Test (COMET) contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.
Work as a Cybersecurity Analyst AD supporting the COMET contract on the Kennedy Space Center. Primary function will be working to assess configuration changes to determine the associated compliance or cybersecurity risk impacts, and working with the ISSM and GRC team to ensure that effective mitigations are in place, and risks are appropriately documented and accepted.
We are seeking an experienced Active Directory Architect and Administrator to build out and manage our Active Directory (AD) infrastructure in a mixed environment that includes both Windows and Linux systems supporting non-cloud mission environments. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless integration, security, and performance of our directory services while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support various applications and services.
This position will be working within the mission environment supporting the Artemis program.
Additional Responsibilities Include\:
-Design, implement, and manage Active Directory infrastructure, including domain controllers, organizational units (OUs), group policies, replication and certificate authorities.
-Configure and maintain directory services for both Windows and Linux/Unix environments, ensuring interoperability and access management.
-Monitor and troubleshoot AD-related issues, providing timely resolutions to maintain system integrity and performance.
-Develop and enforce security policies and best practices for directory services, including user authentication and access controls.
-Implement and manage identity management solutions that integrate with AD, including multi-factor authentication (MFA).
-Perform regular backups and disaster recovery testing for AD data.
-Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures for AD management.
-Provide training and support to staff on AD-related topics, promoting best practices in user and group management.

Position may be filled at a higher level based on education and/or experience.
-Subject matter expert in Active Directory architecture for mixed Windows/Linux/Unix environments, including forest and domain structure, trusts, and group policies.
-Experience with identity and access management solutions and protocols (e.g., SAML, Kerberos, SMB, DNS, etc.).
-Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation of AD tasks. -Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
-Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
-Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Physical Requirements
· Will be required to climb stairs to access equipment for trouble shooting.
· Will be required to wear hearing protection, eye protection, and other associated personal protective equipment.
· Position may involve extended periods of sitting or standing.
· Physical requirements are sitting, walking, standing, extensive use of stairs, and access to remote structures.
· Position is located on a hazardous testing facility; must be able to quickly evacuate buildings in the event of an emergency.
Work Environment
· Will be required to work inside and outside throughout the test complex.
· Position may require individual to travel daily to different areas on site.
· Walking on uneven terrain including paved areas, gravel/rocks, and dirt/sand, is required to access various locations on the facility.
· Climbing ladders and platforms may be necessary.
· All work must be completed in a safe manner in accordance with NASA and company safety standards. Attendance
· Full-time work hours.
· Position may require occasional overtime, including weekend work, depending on task. · Must be dependable and punctual.
· Shift work may be required.
