Cybersecurity Analyst

The Cybersecurity Analyst manages security events and incidents for Rush Enterprises. This includes analyzing and tuning alerts in multiple security tools, managing incidents, documenting and improving incident response processes, and reporting on incidents and trends. Additional responsibilities include cyber threat hunting, working with ISACs/other third parties, providing recommendations on improvements in processes and tools, and working on other cybersecurity tasks and projects.

Responsibilities:
+ Respond to and tune alerts in web proxies, identity providers, email filtering, intrusion prevention
+ products, SIEMs, and other cybersecurity tooling.
+ Triage complex security incidents and help manage incidents to resolution, including coordination
+ with IT and business stakeholders.
+ Recommend new or improved security measures to mitigate vulnerabilities and prevent intrusions.
+ Evaluate security tooling and general logs to identify baselines, patterns, and trends.
+ Develop and evaluate reporting, metrics, and trends to measure the success of cybersecurity
+ incident response capabilities.
+ Provide guidance on and/or investigate escalated incidents from other staff.

Education and/or Experience:
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
+ Minimum 2 years of experience in a cyber security role.
+ Recommended certifications- GCIH, GCIA, CYSA
Other Skills and Abilities Required:
+ Ability to interact with IT and business staff on incident response and related topics.
+ Ability to delegate work where appropriate
+ Possess solid working knowledge of subject matter.
+ Demonstrate technical and analytical skills.
+ Ability to effectively employ project management skills.
+ Ability to troubleshoot issues
+ Ability to employ problem/situation analysis
