As a Cybersecurity Assurance Officer, you will be a vital part of our mission to safeguard our IT infrastructure and ensure its resilience. You’ll play a key role in shaping security practices, guiding teams through challenges, and driving improvements where necessary. Your work will directly impact the organization’s security posture, supporting business continuity while addressing the evolving landscape of cyber threats.

Key responsibilities:
In this role, you will oversee and drive assurance across a range of important cybersecurity capabilities. For that, you will collaborate closely with operational teams, helping to translate security policies into actionable plans that align with compliance goals. You’ll also take ownership of educational initiatives, ensuring that every employee is well-versed in security best practices. You’ll work with a diverse team of cybersecurity professionals, providing both guidance and support in their daily work.
Your day-to-day will involve reviewing and improving security measures, addressing gaps, and ensuring that all teams are well-prepared to manage cybersecurity risks. With your efforts, both management and the teams in the field will always know where they stand and what is needed to move forward securely. Your key activities include:
Drive the planning, execution and review of security assurance activities, ensuring alignment with compliance goals;Translating security policies and standards into actionable requirements for operational teams;Develop and implement training initiatives to enhance operational teams’ understanding of security best practices;Analyze and evaluate security gaps, driving corrective actions and fostering a proactive cybersecurity posture;Reporting security gaps to management so that they have the right steering information and an actionable plan to move forward.Education and experience
We’re seeking someone with a deep understanding of cybersecurity, a passion for mentoring, and a proactive approach to risk management. The ideal candidate will have experience working with security frameworks and technologies, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to drive change and innovation.
A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, and relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, or CISA) are preferred;3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on assurance and compliance;In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and security technologies (firewalls, intrusion detection, SIEM), and cloud security best practices;Strong ability to assess complex security challenges across a diverse infrastructure landscape and teams with varying priorities;Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences, with strong presentation and training abilities;Pragmatic and action-oriented: identifies what needs to be done and takes initiative to drive results.If this sounds like the role for you, but you don’t meet every qualification, we encourage you to apply anyway.
