Cybersecurity Engineer
Title: Cybersecurity Engineer This is contingency hire for a full-time position supporting a government agency in Northern Virginia. The Cybersecurity Engineer will work independently and as a team contributor to fulfill mission requirements. This role ensures the protection of the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks and data against cyber-attacks and unauthorized access. The engineer needs to have management skills to ensure all key stakeholders all informed to ensure success in support of critical national security missions. Job Duties: + Provide cybersecurity support for ICD 503 + Provide continuous monitoring oversight and integration utilizing a change management process + Apply ICD 503, NIST, and CNSSI security requirements + Review and assess systems and applications using Risk Management Framework + Reviews systems security posture and plan of action and milestones + Provide system security categorization support to government PM + Review and recommend changes to cybersecurity and zero trust approach + Assist product development teams with Assessment and Authorization process Minimum Requirements: + Familiarity with ICD 503, NIST, and CNSSI cybersecurity policies and Risk Management Framework + Experience with A&A processes, ATO requirements, and SCA/AO requirements + Experience with DevSecOps and agile development + Proven work experience as a cybersecurity engineer or similar role + Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline (STEM) + Certifications in CISSP + Knowledge of agency operating systems and databases + Experience with cloud (AWS, Azure) and virtual machines + Experience in the use of Tableau, SharePoint, JIRA and Confluence + Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related STEM field + Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or its DoD equivalent or coursework Clearance: TS/SCI with Poly KBR is an equal opportunity employer.
