The Enterprise Information Security Team is currently looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer, focusing on data protection, to join Zions Bancorporation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, with specific emphasis on safeguarding sensitive data. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect our organization's data from unauthorized access, breaches, and other cyber threats.

 

Job Summary: 

The Enterprise Information Security Team at Zions Bancorporation is currently seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer with a focus on data protection. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, with specific emphasis on safeguarding sensitive data. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect our organization's data from unauthorized access, breaches, and other cyber threats.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze the organization's data protection requirements and establish protocols to fulfill them. Develop and implement organization-wide best practices for data protection. Coordinate with different teams within the organization to ensure data security measures are integrated into all aspects of the business. Design, implement, and maintain security systems and software to protect data. Work with data loss prevention controls. Monitor systems for data movement on endpoints. Research and analyze data movement and exfiltration through email, web traffic, database usage, endpoint, vendor connections, SaaS applications, cloud storage solutions, and others. Manage multiple initiatives in parallel. Partner with teammates and other security teams to research, assess, and recommend improvements for control environments. Analyze system events for diagnosis, trending, and measuring of system health, capacity, configuration efficiency, and metric and analytic development. Participate in incident response teams to help analyze, contain, and coordinate elements of security incidents. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

4+ years in IT/Cybersecurity with 2+ years of professional related experience with DLP/CASB type tools. Experience with web proxy tools, such as Symantec BlueCoat, Symantec Web Security Service (WSS), and Symantec Cloud Access Security Broker is a plus. Experience deploying and administering cloud access security broker solutions. Integration of CASB tools with DLP tools and reporting systems (SIEMs). Knowledge of network security, application security, programming, systems analysis procedures, and operating systems. Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, from technical staff to executive management. Organizational and project management skills with a successful track record in delivering results and meeting deadlines. Experience providing exceptional customer focus, with the ability to manage expectations, provide superior user experience, and build long-term relationships. Requires a bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related technical field, and 2+ years of experience in information security, server and/or application security baseline configurations, IT infrastructure management, application architecture, risk management, data architecture, middleware technology, developing and implementing security products/systems, or other directly related technical experience. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications. Relevant professional certifications: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent is a plus.

 

Location:

This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
