What can you expect from a Perdue summer internship?
This position has a target wage of $21.90 - $28.13 per hour, based on shift, experience and qualifications. Overtime may be available.
What You Will Learn & Main ResponsibilitiesThis internship offers the chance to collaborate with seasoned cybersecurity and identity access management experts, gaining valuable exposure to security measures, incident response, and the latest cybersecurity practices.
Assist in monitoring and analyzing security incidents and threats to our network and systems Responsible for controlling user access to all information within the Perdue organizations Assist in the development of Cyber risk strategies, identity and access management programs, network security, cybersecurity analytics, ethical hacking, cloud security, privacy & data protection, artificial intelligence, etc. support customer needs and understands the entire provisioning and deprovisioning processes to all systems Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to implement security measures and protocols Participate in the development and enhancement of security policies and procedures Supports projects to automate and streamline access management and controls user access to all information within the Perdue organizations Streamline and improve access management processes when possible and support the Information Security/Identity & Access Management Team Minimum Education Must be a rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior currently pursuing a Bachelors degree at an accredited university in a relevant field of study. Cyber Security, Information Systems, Information Technology or related majors preferred. Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA or higher Experience Requirements Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new software Possess strong analytical, communication and time management skills Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills Experience Preferred 3.25 GPA or higher is highly preferred Strongly prefer a rising Junior or Senior who has completed at least 2 college-level IT/IS courses Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment. Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
