Position Overview:
The Scrum Master/Agile Coach will be instrumental in fostering an agile mindset within the cybersecurity department. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement and optimize Scrum and Kanban practices, ensuring our security initiatives are effectively delivered while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the adoption of Scrum and Kanban methodologies within the cybersecurity teams, ensuring teams understand and embrace agile principles and practices.Organize and facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives (Scrum), and continuous flow management (Kanban).Provide coaching on both Scrum and Kanban frameworks, helping team members develop their skills and confidence in agile practices.Identify opportunities to implement Kanban boards to visualize workflow and manage work in progress, improving team efficiency and delivery speed.Work with product owners and stakeholders to define and prioritize the cybersecurity backlog, ensuring alignment with strategic goals while utilizing both Scrum and Kanban techniques.Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Scrum and Kanban processes to measure team performance and facilitate data-driven decision-making.Support cultural and organizational change necessary for the successful implementation of Scrum and Kanban, addressing resistance and promoting a positive agile mindset.Develop and deliver training programs on Scrum and Kanban tailored to the unique needs of the cybersecurity team.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Kanban Management Professional (KMP), Agile Certified Coach (ICP-ACC)) are a plus.5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, with hands-on experience implementing Scrum and Kanban methodologies, preferably in a cybersecurity or technology-driven environment.Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices; familiarity with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001, etc.) is advantageous.Proficient in both Scrum and Kanban methodologies; excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills; strong interpersonal and communication abilities; adept at conflict resolution and problem-solving.A passion for continuous improvement and a proactive approach to embracing change.
