Roush is seeking a skilled Aviation Cylinder Head Technician I to support day-to-day sub-assembly tasks for engine component assembly and inspection. This position will involve quality checking, testing, and provide high tolerance, high quality parts in a demanding environment.

As an Aviation Cylinder Head Technician I, you will:

Complete and blend work on valvesDisassemble, clean, quality check, and crack test using nondestructive methodsMake quality decisions based on known life/usage and condition of the partsMeasure, prepare, re-assemble, and test various components to a defined standard and specificationKeep engine and component records according to established proceduresInspect cylinder heads and components, and verify they are compliant to the appropriate standardMachine components and assemblies to desired standardsMeasure components to be verify specificationsPerform other assigned duties

To be considered as an Aviation Cylinder Head Technician, you will need:

High school diploma or equivalentFull knowledge of measuring equipment, such as micrometers and indicators, and be very detail orientedMinimum of 1 year of machining close tolerance details for cylinder heads and/or machine shop skillsExcellent shop math skillsPreferred Skills:Ability to port and blend cylinder headsExperience with honing, boring, and decking engine blocksAbility to move/lift 50 lbs.Own basic hand toolsAbility to work overtime/weekends and ready/willing to complete all tasks as assignedSelf-starter and possesses the skills to work with minimal supervision
