The position will focus primarily on analysis of routine blood chromosomes utilizing the Applied Spectral Imaging software.

**Pay Range: $22.00 - $44.00 per hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. 

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Job Responsibilities

Perform analysis of chromosomes, which includes imaging and karyotyping of cytogenetic specimensReview test requisitions to gather pertinent details for analysisSummarize test results utilizing ISCN nomenclatureDistinguish between normal and abnormal test resultsPerform and evaluate troubleshooting, document all corrective actions as neededComply with company policies and procedures

Job Requirements

B.A./B.S. in Biology, Chemistry, Cytogenetics Technology or relatable life scienceMinimum 2 years of experience working in a Cytogenetics clinical laboratoryPrevious experience with cytogenetic analysis of metaphase spreads via computerized images requiredOncology cytogenetics experience preferredASCP certification in Cytogenetics (ASCP CG) highly preferredComputer skills; must be able to effectively use the Internet, email, text messaging, chat applications, and familiarity with Microsoft Office.Effective communication skills (oral, written, presentation), is an active listener, and effectively provides balanced feedbackStrong patient focusEffectively manages own time, conflicting priorities, self, stress, and professional developmentSelf-motivated and self-starter with ability to work independently with limited supervision

Work From Home Requirements:

Home office space must be a dedicated room that isn’t shared and meets HIPAA compliance.Must agree to have your home address added to reports of cases you analyze or report.  This is a CMS requirementProvide wired or wireless internet at a minimum speed of 100 mb/secAbility to work remotely effectively as required in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and demands
