Insight Global is searching for a Cytotechnologist in Anderson, SC. This cytotechnologist will assist the pathologists in the diagnostic cytological assessment of specimens. Most of this person's day will include microscopic screenings of gynecologic and non-gynecologic samples. They look for abnormalities that could indicate cancer, disease, or other health conditions. They will also have the opportunity to attend procedures and assist with the collections of samples. They will be working with all types of specimens: pulmonary, respiratory, urinary, gynecology, endoscopy, skin or mucus, etc. The cytotechnologists will work closely with the pathologists. They will be working with 5 physicians typically and the lab team is 2 other staff cytotechnologists and 3 lab assistants. The manager of the lab also has previous experience of being a cytotechnologist!
