Shift PRN Variable

Preferred Experience Must be ASCP certified with at least 3 years of experience Must be able to work at least 4 shifts per month and at least one major holiday and one minor holiday per year 

\n

The Cytotechnologist 1 performs screening of gynecological cytology specimens and renders an appropriate diagnosis, triages abnormal gynecologic cases to pathologists. Pre-screens non-gynecologic cytology cases for pathologist review. Participates in other quality control initiatives and assists as needed in a variety of laboratory functions.

\n

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

\n\nCompletes screening and computer entry of diagnosis for gynecological and non-gynecological cases.\nParticipates in cytology departments quality assurance and quality control program.\nAssists others in the laboratory as needed.\nContributes to the education of others and continues own education.\n\n
