36Gundersen Health System is looking to add a Cytotechnologist to our growing Pathology team.
What You'll Do:
As a Cytotechnologist you will be responsible for the screening and reporting of negative gynecological cytology cases and identifying and referring abnormal cases to the pathologist. You are also responsible for the screening of non-gynecological specimens for the identification of abnormalities prior to the pathologist examination of the specimen.
What's Available:
Fulltime - 72 hours biweekly (0.9 FTE)
Day shifts, no weekends, holidays, or call required
Starting pay of $35.17 per hour and up based on your years of experience
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology from an accredited school of cytotechnology OR certified by a certification agency approved by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
A copy of the applicant's/employee's diploma and/or transcript as confirmation of the education requirement must be provided at time of hire
American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Cytotechnologist Certification
Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
