Compensation: $60-62/hourLocation: Houston, TXWork Schedule: 9/80, hybrid, Tues-Thurs in-officeAssignment Duration: 12 months+Benefits: Comprehensive insurance, 401(k) program, PTO & HolidaysResponsibilities In this role, interpersonal skills including conflict resolution, innovation and integrity will be key as the position would act as a central point of contact between corporate function stakeholders, vendor representatives and other various key functional stakeholders including Legal, Audit, HES and APMaintaining lines of regular communications with vendors in the assigned categories, to determine capacity, competencies, and cost competitiveness will be part of the day-today activitiesContinuously seek ways to identify and execute improvement opportunities to reduce overall cost related to assigned categories’ services & equipment sourcingVendor selection and prequalification: contact existing and potential new vendors, prepare pre-qualification questionnaires and issue to potential vendors, develop evaluation matrix and lead evaluation and selection of best vendor option, complete bidding cycle for small/medium/large projects, preparation and follow up of NDAsPreparation of Request for Proposal package including technical, legal and commercial documentation and requirementsDevelop evaluation matrix and lead evaluation and selection of best proposalAssist and potentially lead RFP processes (invite, evaluate including total life cycle cost, negotiate)Negotiate applicable Master / Purchase Order Terms and ConditionsContract awardAssisting and following up with vendor registration mattersPreparing, submitting and negotiating contract terms and conditions with Legal support (master service agreements, commercial terms, and purchase orders, etc.)Contract management using Client’s ERP Ariba/SAP system. Actively manage contracts regarding proposed change orders and schedule issuesFile all the related sourcing and contractual documentation in Ariba. Use the Ariba/SAP system to manage the contract lifeIssue POs in alignment with Outline Agreements and approved funds. Issue standalone POs as requiredActing as central point of contact between business unit proponents, vendor representatives, and other key stakeholders including HR and LegalInvoicing support and troubleshooting on assigned contracts/POsIn coordination with AP and Proponent make sure invoicing and payment activities are completed as per the agreementsMonitor assigned contracts to ensure suppliers comply with the terms and conditionsParticipate in Supplier Performance Meetings Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Human Resources, Industrial Distribution or Supply Chain ManagementStrong contract analysis, drafting and negotiation skillsStrong communication skills and ability to communicate thoughts in a clear, concise, coherent mannerStrong time management skills, highly organized, and detailed oriented. Strong analytical and problem solving skillsStrong cross-functional communication skills, teamwork and interpersonal skillsStrong knowledge of basic analytical and Microsoft Office software programsDemonstrated ability to work independently, decisiveness, and sound judgmentMust be comfortable with change in all its facet and be to help assist others through changeKnowledge of procurement principles, theories and processes (preferred)Systems – SAP, Ariba, Oracle, Spotfire
