Job description
The Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O) Finance Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and optimizing finance-related processes within the D365 F&O platform. The consultant will work closely with clients to understand their financial management needs, gather requirements, and customize the system to meet their objectives. The role requires a solid understanding of both finance and ERP systems, specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.
Role & Responsibilities

System Implementation & Configuration:
* Lead the implementation of the D365 F&O Finance module for clients.
* Configure financial modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Cash and Bank management.
* Ensure the configuration of finance-related processes aligns with the client's business requirements.

Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
* Work with business stakeholders to understand and document financial business processes and system requirements.
* Analyze client financial systems and identify gaps that can be addressed using D365 F&O.
*
Customization & Integration:
* Customize D365 F&O functionality to meet specific financial needs.
* Work with the technical team to ensure smooth integration of D365 F&O with other systems.
*
Data Migration:
* Assist in data migration activities from legacy systems to D365 F&O.
* Ensure financial data is properly mapped and validated during the migration process.
*
Training & Support:
* Provide training and documentation to end-users on finance modules of D365 F&O.
* Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting for financial processes within D365 F&O.
*
Testing:
* Conduct unit and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the system works as expected.
* Develop test scripts and ensure testing covers all relevant financial scenarios.
*
Project Management:
* Collaborate with project managers to ensure project timelines, milestones, and budgets are met.
* Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders.
Skills & Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
* Experience:
* 3-5 years of experience in finance roles (accounting, financial management) and ERP implementations.
* Proven experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations or other similar ERP systems.
* Technical Skills:
* Solid understanding of financial accounting principles (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and how they apply to D365 F&O.
* Proficiency in the D365 F&O Finance module and related processes (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, etc.).
* Experience with system integrations and data migration processes in ERP environments.
* Familiarity with the D365 F&O user interface, reporting tools, and customization options.
* Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate (or similar).
* Industry Knowledge: Experience in sectors such as manufacturing, retail, distribution, or public sector is a plus.
* Soft Skills:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
