Primary Duties
1. Analyzes electric generation, parking & lending, and through-system business segments and assists in evaluation of strategy and programs to promote incremental revenue.
2. Designs prepares and maintains various detailed reports, charts and graphs regarding volume, revenue, and operational information for support of departmental goals and objectives.
3. Monitor and manage daily distributions of pipeline capacity and maintenance notices.
4. Provides knowledge of pipeline transportation services offered by Atmos Energy to internal and external customers. Serves as a contact between pipeline operations and customers. Maintains industry presence through customer events, attendance and participation in industry trade shows and events.
5. Supports and provides input to establish transportation rates based on market conditions and rate strategy. Interfaces with gas control, contract administration, and other personnel to determine incremental available system transportation, parking, and lending capabilities.
6. Collaborates with business development managers in the development of new business opportunities and negotiations of agreements to ensure that they are fair and profitable. Monitors progress and establishes priority of business development projects on ongoing basis.
7. Supports and executes inter- and intra- departmental procedures to ensure consistency and reliability of rate quotes, transactions, customer communications, and efficient business systems transactions.
8. Facilitates the administration of completed contracts by communicating and coordinating with contract administration personnel, gas control, regulatory personnel, engineering and system planning personnel, and other internal and external groups.
9. Participates in the establishment of department goals and the implementation of procedures and performance standards to achieve those goals, including risk management processes and procedures. Assists in coordination and monitoring of established procedures to enable confirmation of adherence to procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Educational/Experience Level:
Bachelors degree in business or related field and three years of professional experience in natural gas marketing or;
A general educational knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or a general equivalency diploma and five years of professional experience in natural gas scheduling, and/or marketing.
Communication Skills:
Requires the ability to effectively communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide exclamations and for modifications on technical other complex concepts to individuals with little or no background in the area under discussion.
Numeric Skills:
Requires the ability to review and prepare complex financial and or accounting methods.
Computer Skills:
Requires advanced knowledge of various software applications to create documents, reports and/or graphics.
Work Conditions:
Works in an office environment. Requires minimal travel.
