Responsibilities:
Train and motivate staffDelegate and prioritize workload for staffEffectively merchandise advertising and promotional programsMaintain up to date information about market trends and competitor activitiesReceiving, handling and storing of product to achieve optimal resultsEnsure proper product rotation as requiredEnsure pricing integrityMaintain store cleanliness to appropriate standardsAny other duties that may be required to ensure courteous friendly service, competitively priced products, and a store that meets and maintains the hygiene standards specified.Qualifications/Experience:
Demonstrated understanding of critical success factors for the no frills concept as a discount food store focusing on low price image.Demonstrated understanding of a full time clerks’ impact on store performance in the following ways:merchandising to appropriate no frills standardsmaintaining and ordering proper inventories, including being familiar in dealing with direct suppliers and having knowledge of their productschecking invoices for proper product / pricing / quantitiesmaintaining cleanliness to appropriate standardsExcellent communication skillsDemonstrated Customer focusAbility to manage peopleAbility to work with minimal functional directionMust be able to lift using work safe guidelinesOpen availability with the ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and eveningsSolid understanding and previous experience with No Frills operations and productsDemonstrated accountability for entire store in the absence of a manager:key carrying / alarm responsibilitiesloss preventionhealth and safetyThank you for your interest, however only qualified applicants selected for interview will be contacted.
Experience you bring
Minimum 2 years experience in retail, with Dairy department experience.
