About the Role
The Damage Prevention Technician will report to the Operations Lead. The position will play a key role in safety and quality while driving, parking, and performing audits on marked gas lines. This position requires a high level of physical activity and working in a wide variety of weather conditions.
What You’ll Do
Compliance & SafetyAssure compliance with Code Rule 753 and promote safe excavation practicesFollow strict Utility, State and Federal guidelines relating to damage preventionWear assigned personal protective equipment (PPE) and company uniformFollow safety, quality, and operational proceduresParticipate in safety meetingsGas Main Locating & Site VisitsHand out educational materials and public awareness items to excavatorsVisit 3rd party excavation sites and construction zones regularlyCollect data using handheld tablet or other collection deviceShow courtesy and professionalism when dealing with customers and other employeesComplete Work Orders on assigned datesTravel to visit sites on occasionCommunication & CollaborationProvide timely reports and documentation to management regularlyEscalate issues and questions to Supervisor when necessaryMaintain a satisfactory attendance recordKeep assigned vehicle cleanReport equipment and vehicle issues immediatelyCommunicate with dispatchersOther duties as neededAbout You

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Bermex salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to customer contact terms, location, experience, and performance. Other rewards may include Paid Time Off, 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match, ESOP contributions, medical, dental, and vision insurance, and other region-specific benefits as eligible.
Salary Range TransparencyFor applicants residing in NY, the salary for this role is $18/hr
