The Danaher Materials System Leader is responsible for process improvements yielding bottom-line productivity and capable of driving large plant and wing to wing value stream transformations for the Pensacola site. This position reports to the Plant Director and is part of the Pensacola Operations team and will be an on-site role. What you will do: + Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory. Owner of site inventory improvement optimization plan, utilize lean principles such as Kanban systems and demand-driven replenishment to improve inventory turns and reduce carrying costs. + Procurement: Execute procurement activities including purchasing, negotiation, and contracting with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials at the best possible cost. Implement lean procurement practices to streamline processes and eliminate waste in the supply chain. + Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply and continuous improvement in quality, cost, and delivery performance. Collaborate with suppliers to implement lean initiatives and drive mutual benefits. + Continuous Improvement: Provide overall DBS leadership and simplification to key areas of our Operations and Supply Chain, and responsible for strategy development of site DBS/DMS transformation. Lead and facilitate kaizens to drive metric improvements in inventory and cost. + Performance Metrics: Develop action plans to drive key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance and track progress towards improvement goals – the goal is to improve on-time delivery (OTD) to our customers. Analyze data and performance metrics to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for further optimization. + Cross-functional Collaboration: Become site champion of DMS (Danaher Materials System) tools. Drive a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement across the organization. Coach and develop DBS teams and plant leadership in the use of Lean tools and the simplification methodology to drive significant business impact in a sustaining manner. Who you are: + Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering/business discipline with 5+ years of supply chain manufacturing experience. + 2+ years experience working in operations with significant focus on Materials or Supply Chain Management, including continuous improvement/lean experience with material systems and Plant Operations related Danaher/DBS tools + Experience coordinating / leading cross functional teams + Proven ability to teach/coach Lean leadership principles and behaviors including servant leadership, problem solving, and daily management routines including the use of visual management. + Demonstrated experience with ERP/MRP, SAP preferred Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: + Ability to travel to other global locations up to 10% It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + Knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) and procedures, ISO9000 and other regulatory requirements and how they impact manufacturing. #LI-MR1 Join our winning team today.
