Amentum is currently seeking talented, enthusiastic, and dynamic systems engineers to work closely with DARPA Program Managers as well as high level personnel throughout the government and industry research and development communities. Applicants must be strong in systems engineering processes, digital engineering techniques and tools, material properties, and state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques. Applicants must also possess superior oral and written communications skills. Candidates should be self-starters capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Travel is required, up to 25%. **Job Duties and Responsibilities:** + Development and management of advanced manufacturing technologies and processes to accelerate tooling and large-scale production of parts and assemblies. + Identifying and translating end user needs into specific technology/system research and development objectives. + Defining system architectures and supporting subsystem performance requirements. + Conducting quantitative analyses of system performance; evaluate alternatives and trade-offs; conduct cost-benefit analyses; and investigate compatibility, interoperability, and integration with existing systems. + Supporting program experimentation and testing efforts, including preparation of experiment/test plans; coordination with performers, government agents, and test facilities. + Developing and preparing documentation and accompanying briefing materials for senior management and stakeholders within DARPA as well as the services, industry, and the public. + Assisting in the development and transition of technology and systems to the DoD and commercial user community. **Required Qualifications:** + MS in Engineering or Science field and five (5) years of practical materials science and/or manufacturing experience + Experience in commercial or defense-related technology research and/or development programs is preferred + Familiarity with classical systems engineering processes and procedures + Excellent oral and written communication skills + Must have a US Government Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance. Please note that US Citizenship is required to maintain a DoD Clearance. **Preferred qualifications:** + PhD in Engineering field and at least 8 years of experience + Active Top Secret US Government Clearance.
