Description of Duties: The Amentum Arlington, VA office has a full-time on-site position available for a highly competent mid-level systems test engineer in support of DARPA space payload platform design, development, and test program.
Candidate will serve as the primary support contractor interface, on a daily basis, to DARPA leadership, the performer(s), other integrated product teams (IPTs), and research and development communities across the Government. Candidate will interact with the performer(s) in order to monitor and track system design, development, and test progress, will report status to the Government team, and will identify and aid in the facilitation of mitigation strategies. Applicants must have leadership experience and possess superior oral and written communications skills. Candidates should be self-starters capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Candidates will travel 25% of time.
You must have excellent organizational skills and collaborate across multiple program offices. You must have excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Must be proficient in MS Windows applications, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
**Job Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Develop and deliver insights and feedback/guidance to the PM for program technical activities, particularly development activities and test events as they relate to program objectives and how to best tailor them among schedule/cost/technical pressures
+ Support site visits to performer facilities to build working-level contacts, trust, and in-depth understanding of performer team working environment and how to best gain insights and shape development activities in support of the mission
+ Support program experimentation and testing efforts, to include the preparation of experiment/test plans; coordinate with performers, government agents, ranges and test facilities; implementation and inspection of safety requirements within the time frame requested.
+ Monitor performer (prime and subk) IMS and technical progress, identifying critical paths and broken links to mitigate schedule risks. Support technical interchange meetings and design reviews.
+ Develop and prepare documentation and accompanying briefing materials for senior management and stakeholders within DARPA as well as the services and industry. Assist Gov contracting officer in reviewing contract modification documentation as it pertains to technical work and collaborating with SMEs as appropriate. Assist performers and program office team in refining performer SOWs tailored to program objectives
+ Develop internal DARPA documentation in response to data calls, including:
+ Monthly PM progress reports,
+ Consolidated program overview briefs
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
+ BS in an Engineering field and at least 10 years of relevant experience.
+ DoD-related technology research / development platform program experience
+ Space science payload qual and acceptance test development experience/test lead.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
+ Intimate experience w/MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word software
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Must have an Active Top Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a TopSecret Clearance.
+ Project Mgt Professional Certificate
+ Military and/or DARPA program support experience
