About the Team

New Verticals is a new, lean team at DoorDash. We're building and scaling new delivery models to delight our customers, using the DoorDash platform. 

We are looking for a Warehouse Operations Associate to be part of our warehouse team offering local fulfillment. 

Shifts: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Part-Time and Full-Time

About the Role Receiving Inventory. Unload inventory from trucks and onto warehouse shelves. Batching and Preparing Orders. Identify orders that come through the system, pick and organize them into batches. Order Staging and Handoff. Support the order pick-up process by handing off orders to drivers. Warehouse Organization. Clean and organize the warehouse. Delight Customers. Ensuring right orders and sent out to the right customers, on time. You're a self-motivated, positive, team player You are familiar with technology (Google Sheets or Excel) and online chat systems. You have a proven track record of success in a warehouse environment, including inventory unloading and management You are familiar with safely operating warehouse equipment , including but not limited to, pallet jacks, flex conveyors, and dock levelers You are flexible and can handle different task assignments throughout the day You're able to be on your feet sometimes up to 10 hours a day, and handle warehouse duties including the need to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs (with or without accommodations). Duties may also include frequent, continual, intermittent flexing, or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine, and occasional ascending or descending on ladders or ramps is a possibility. You are comfortable working outside - at times, you may be exposed to some pretty cold or hot weather. Your safety is important to us, so we provide protective gear. You have a high school diploma or GED equivalent

We use Covey as part of our hiring and / or promotional process for jobs in NYC and certain features may qualify it as an AEDT. As part of the evaluation process we provide Covey with job requirements and candidate submitted applications. We began using Covey Scout for Inbound on August 21, 2023.

Compensation

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.  Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
