Buyers Edge Platform (“BEP”) was born out of the 20-year growth and success of its founding companies Dining Alliance, Buyers Edge and Consolidated Concepts.  BEP is a technology enabled group purchasing network, which provides group purchasing services, SaaS based technology solutions, and supply chain consulting and procurement related services to foodservice operators across many verticals, including restaurants (independents as well as multiunit, chains and franchise concepts), hospitality (hotels, casinos, resorts), healthcare (LTC based operators), colleges & universities and array of other foodservice based operators (food trucks, caterers, amusement parks and other leisure based operators).  BEP represents over $35 Billion in Network Transactions.  We are committed and passionate about our mission to keep foodservice operators thriving by saving them money and increasing the quality of their products.

We are a growing company which performs the acquisition and analysis of purchase data. We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented individual to become an essential part of our team. The right person will welcome challenges, thrive in a team environment, and be eager to learn new skills.

This hybrid role will be based out of our New London, CT office. We are unable to provide sponsorship for work authorization for this role.

We are seeking a Data Acquisition Specialist who will work with vendors on behalf of our clients to set up standardized data feeds and acquire client purchasing data on an ongoing basis. To succeed in this role the ideal candidate should have experience balancing daily priorities, strong written and verbal communication, knowledge of Excel/accounting platforms, and the ability to represent Buyers Edge with professionalism to vendors as well as our clients and their related business partners.

Other duties

· E-mail and call vendors and business partners to arrange integrations

· Work with vendors on an ongoing basis to gain additional data and maintain data feeds

· Acquire missing data

· An in-depth review of non-reporting on a quarterly basis

· Provide regular status updates on progress of work

· Assist with data integrity and system maintenance

Competencies, Skills, and Abilities

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Outlook and Excel)

· Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly

· Aptitude for solving problems

· Ability to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlines

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

· Strong organizational skills

· Attention to detail

· Previous customer service, sales, or account management experience preferred

Education Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience

· Minimum of 1-3 years of work experience
