Overview Location: Must live 90 miles from one of the following PepsiCo offices; Plano, TX, Purchase, NY, Chicago, IL. Role is hybrid with 2-3 days in office per week expected. POSITION OVERVIEW: We are looking for a Data Product Manager to lead the delivery of data and analytics for PepsiCo’s Sales Transformation/Effectiveness data products. This individual delivers these critical dimensions: Building and executing seamlessly against data roadmaps for each data initiative. Capturing business requirements, data requirements and translating for technical teams Leading cross functional teams (PODs) to deliver, via agile artifacts and ceremonies. Being the voice of D+A to leadership and business stakeholders. Drive adoption of data solutions in business and continue to ensure that data and analytics meet the needs of the business use cases. Responsibilities Delivery Accountability Build comprehensive data requirements and roadmaps, Manage delivery against key technical delivery milestones. Collaboratively manage reporting that measures D+A’s execution against key programs. Define and drive Business Customer adoption of “acceptance criteria.” Lead x-chapter Pod resources towards shared goal Collaborate with multiple technical and business teams to synchronize priorities and delivery roadmaps. Translation Work with stewards, data engineering, data science and visualization teams to write user stories and requirements in Azure DevOps. Translate the analytics solutions back to the business to ensure its actionable and business can drive value from those insights. Translate priorities across multiple workstreams to a strategic domain roadmap in collaboration with engineers and data stewards Simultaneously ensure Data Engineering, Modeling, Architect, Governance and Stewardship teams are spending optimal time at work in their specialties while ensuring the business understands what will be delivered and how it solves their problem. Ensure the technical teams are clear on the “why” from the perspective of the Business customer. Technical Documentation and Artifacts Work with multiple stakeholders to author technical data requirements for a technical audience (+ build templates of these set of technical requirements). Collaboratively design and document the data product artifacts required by the project. Presentation, Narrative and Adoption Support presentation of output to Business Customer. Help track benefits of these insights to leadership to drive acceptance. Collaborates with Practices for embedding analytics solutions in the business and overcoming implementation difficulties. Stakeholder and People Management Ensure Business customer expectations from D+A are managed and seek to eliminate disconnect on what can be addressed. Report on program progress to PepsiCo leadership. Manage the output and development of other Data Product Managers. Compensation & Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $125,000 - $217,500. Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually. Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree is required Someone with a technical background (Data Scientist, Data Analyst, etc.) who has moved into Product Management is HIGHLY PREFERRED 8+ years of experience in data and digital product development 6+ years of Product Management in business facing functions which includes strong expertise in agile and product lifecycle discipline. Data/AI(Artificial Intelligence)/ML(Machine Learning) product management experience a huge plus. 3+ years of experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry ideally in Sales and Category Management fields is highly preferred 3+ years’ experience working with 2P (2nd party) and 3P (3rd party) consumer data – Nielsen, Circana, Retailer 2P data is a plus 2+ years of experience leading/building advanced analytics and big data solutions Experience working in a data-centric business environment. Excellent ability to identify sources of value from data analytics across core business domains (such as marketing, risk, and operations) and to define paths realizing that value. Familiarity with data architecture, modeling, and engineering concepts Familiarity with Microsoft Azure tech stack a huge plus. Familiarity with principles and tools for data governance and stewardship Persuasive communication skills and an ability to break down complex information into relevant and digestible points for both internal and external business stakeholders. Highly initiative taking with ability to identify and pursue growth and opportunities. Excellent leadership skills, with a team-player attitude to drive the end-to-end implementation of use cases under time pressure. Demonstrated ability to drive business-oriented and innovative solutions using data science, feature engineering and machine learning. Strong people management skills with the ability to develop teams and cultivate talent, including teams composed of various experience levels.
