Data Analyst, Capital Projects and Reporting Capital Programs Job Description: Move forward with us! Roles and Responsibilities: + Assist in preparing and updating Excel files and PowerPoint presentations related to appropriations, expenditures, and Capital Program allocations. + Maintain and update datasets, ensuring timely adjustments when numbers change. + Collaborate with the planning group to support Capital Plan updates and contribute to planning efforts. + Work with the legacy systems for data management, ensuring accurate data entry, retrieval, and integration. + Assist with financial data management, including tracking expenditures and ensuring accurate representation in reports. + Work closely with manager to manage data transfer projects and streamline workflows. + Support SQL and Power BI projects in coordination with the team, as needed. + Generate periodic reports and perform ad-hoc analysis to support decision-making processes. + Identify opportunities to automate and improve Excel, PRINTS/PRINTS AUX, and PowerPoint workflows for increased efficiency. + Perform other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor to support the Capital Program team. Education, Experience and Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Data Analysis, Economics, or a related field from an accredited college or university. + Two (2) years of experience to include working with Excel, data analysis, or financial reporting. Preferred: + Advanced degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of experience. + Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, or other data management tools. Knowledge and Skills: + Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. + Strong analytical and organizational skills. + Ability to work with large data sets and generate insights. + Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments. Preferred: + Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI. + Knowledge of SQL or similar data management software.
