Zonda is seeking a Data Analyst to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of insightful research reports focused on the homebuilding industry. The ideal candidate is a strong analytical thinker with excellent written and communication skills and a passion for data-driven storytelling. This role is highly data-intensive, requiring proficiency in data manipulation and analysis to extract meaningful insights.
What You’ll Do
Maintain monthly research processes and reports, including data collection and distribution, market summaries, and administrative tasks.Collect, organize, and analyze large datasets using advanced Excel skills. Other data analysis tools are not required but are a plus.With guidance, transform complex data into clear and actionable insights through data visualization and storytelling techniques.Maintain existing economic models, and later build new models, to support research efforts and create operational efficiencies.Collaborate with the team to find areas of interest within the homebuilding industry to research and write about.Improve upon existing processes by building deeper research techniques and integrating automation and efficiencies.With direction, write comprehensive and engaging research reports, including executive summaries, data analysis, and actionable recommendations.Conduct in-depth research on various aspects of the homebuilding industry, including regional differences, market trends, and economic indicators.Share research findings with internal and external stakeholders clearly and concisely.Who You Are
Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, statistics, or a related field.Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.Strong proficiency in Excel. Experience with other data analysis tools is a plus (e.g., SQL, Python, R).Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Works well with deadlines and competing priorities.Experience and/or interest in the housing or real estate industry is preferred.
