Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Data Analyst – Marketing.

NYULH is seeking a strategic, results-oriented, and driven Marketing Analyst to join our Communications & Marketing (C&M) department. This position will be responsible for analyzing marketing and communications campaign performance across digital platforms, helping advance the institutional vision, performance excellence, and audience engagement.
Reporting to the Performance Insights, Analytics, and Reporting Lead (Associate Director), this position will play a critical role in supporting NYULHs C&M Program Measurement through evaluating platform analytics and insights. This position will reinforce and contribute to the data-driven culture set by the Performance Insights, Analytics & Reporting Lead. By executing data and analytics processes, this position will enable leaders across C&M to action on and adjust strategies in response to analytics-driven and trend-based recommendations.
This role will be accountable for day-to-day analytics operations, including tracking code development, reporting QA, data cleansing, and ad-hoc support for marketing managers and agency partners

Job Responsibilities:

Analytics and Insights:

Track campaign effectiveness through backend development tools and analytics to provide actionable insights Support data analysis by extracting meaningful insights from large and complex datasets to identify trends and areas of improvement Provide data-driven insights that can be translated into actionable recommendations Communicate key findings, analyze performance trends, and provide recommendations to the Performance Insights, Analytics, & Reporting Lead Provide inputs to the Performance Insights, Analytics & Reporting Lead to support development of standardized reports Leverage digital marketing and healthcare best practices to stay up to date with the latest trends in performance measurement and data analysis Assisting with reporting QA to ensure consistency across platforms Responsibilities will include but not limited to SQL source creation, web analytics dashboard development, ownership of tracking codes and QR codes

Operational Excellence:

Efficiently and effectively execute goals and priorities while adhering to organizational standards for delivering excellent work Contribute to NYULH’s continuous improvement culture and demonstrate a willingness to test-and-learn Ensure seamless communication alignment within a complex institution encompassing multiple campuses and geographic regions

Collaboration and Teamwork:

Gather and analyze performance data, then pass off to Marketing & Comms Reporting Support for synthesis and reporting Collaborate with leadership to implement metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) that provide actionable insights and support a culture of data-driven decision making Promote and maintain a consistent focus on effectiveness and results-based decision making within C&M

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor’s degree in Data/Computer Science, Analytics, or related
2+ years experience in a data analytics or digital marketing role
Experience measuring marketing and communications campaign effectiveness based on pre-defined campaign success metrics, such as appointment conversions, number of file downloads, page stickiness, etc. across various digital platforms, including our intranet, nyulangone.org, med.nyu.edu, social media, and more
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to apply and communicate data-driven insights
Demonstrates a willingness to continually learn and improve
Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration and ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally
Proven experience working with large and complex datasets
Strong digital marketing analytics skills, such as but not limited to web analytics, contextual advertising, email, AI/ML, surveys, big data, data-driven decision making, customer data management, search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM)
Experience collecting both business and technical requirements for analyses
Background with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Datorama, Domo
Experience working with Clickstream web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, HEAP or Amplitude
Experience with tracking codes, branded links, deep-links and QR code development
Intermediate knowledge of SQL required

Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years experience in data analytics or digital marketing role.
Previous exposure to healthcare communications and datasets (e.g. Epic, Clarity).
Strong foundation of constructing measurement plans.
Familiarity with statistical, programmatic and algorithmic attribution models and how to apply them (Python, R, SPSS).
Understanding of supporting digital marketing technology systems such as DSPs, ESPs, DMPs, Google, Bing, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, marketing pixels, video and social platforms.
A curious, organized, methodical, and proactive mind. You like to use substantiated data to both identify and solve problems, rather than trust your gut alone, you can explain your work clearly both in person and in writing with strong communication skills.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,931.00 – $98,218.33 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
