Data Analyst 3 - Supply Chain & Insights Team (Hybrid - Seattle)
Job Description

Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (Data Analyst) of the NAP Supply Chain and Insights Team will own the collection and delivery of data and insights for Nordstrom’s Supply Chain and Inventory Organization. This role will provide ongoing data support, performance analysis and storytelling, which will lead to value creation to optimize how we serve customers and stores across the Nordstrom businesses by helping drive the Inventory and Supply Chain vision. This role is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to improve decision making around Supply Chain and Inventory problems. This individual should have a high degree of curiosity about the business and the skills to discover impactful insights from data. They should be able to communicate those insights in a way that builds confidence and enables decisions that drive business value.

A day in the life…

Develop end to end advanced dashboard resources. Utilizes a combination of visualization techniques to convey information & implements advanced calculations and statistical measures (e.g., LOD, rank, percentile, outlier detection). Efficiently uses dashboard real estate to tell a meaningful story.Complete ambiguous projects independently & demonstrate clear understanding of how projects tie to team mission & actively contributes to development of team roadmap.Produce analysis & reporting that opens additional strategic questions/opportunities. Identifies opportunities for high-impact data products that align with stakeholder objectives and delivers them in a production environment.Prioritize troubleshooting, bubble up key questions to address, root cause analysis, and make smart decisions regarding trade-offs for analyses.Maintain complex dashboards that adhere to platform standards & are performant.Provide user feedback on Nordstrom Analytical Platform (NAP) for product releases, identify product improvements through analysis, and help drive the strategy for data models using analysis expertise.Provide exceptional customer service through professionalism, ownership, and initiative.Demonstrate productivity through the efficient use of time and a commitment to strong results.Ensure data quality, governance, and master data management across systems.

You own this if you have…

Quantitative degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or similar quantitative analytics discipline3+ years of experience as a data analyst applying advanced data visualization techniques to deliver insights that drive decisions and actions, preferably in supply chain/logistics domain.3+ year of corporate experience writing SQL queries from scratch.Able to work independently to translate business questions and objectives into meaningful insights.Knowledge of best practice for data consumption, aggregation & ingestion with leading visualization tools (Lookr, Tableau, Power BI, etc.)Expert in SQL with knowledge of advanced functions & optimal structures across different databases. Writes performant code and independently productionalizes SQL scripts.Comfortable with consulting with data producers on schemasHas strong understanding of Supply Chain and Inventory domain, processes, data sources, and key metrics relevant to context. Functions as expert on data sources within domain.Familiarity with data modeling nice to haveWorking understanding of statistics

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $89,000 - $170,500 Annually

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
