Summary
As an industry leader in infrastructure protection services, USIC operates at a national scale that produces a tremendous amount of operational, human and geo spatial data. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. Data analyst responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design. Data analysts will develop analysis and reporting capabilities. They will monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.
This position will report to the Senior Director of Data Warehouse & Engineering.
Responsibilities
Work with executives and other business leaders to identify opportunities for improvementCreate reports for internal teams and/or external clientsCollaborate with team members to collect and analyze dataUse graphs, infographics and other methods to visualize dataEstablish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisionsStructure large data sets to find usable informationWork with a team of analysts and other associates to process informationCreate presentations and reports based on recommendations and findingsRequirements
3+ years proven experience on data engineering projectsBachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related fieldDemonstrated experience, and high comfort level in building dashboards in Power BIAbility to travel 10% of the timeTechnical writing skillsCoding skills in languages such as Oracle and PythonAnalytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to set and meet deadlinesAbility to work in high-pressure situationsExperience with statistical softwareReporting and data visualization skillsExcellent attention to detailIndividual must be comfortable with taking measured risks and be a catalyst for changeExcellent skills with MS Office Suite and various data analytical toolsWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
