SUMMARY

 

Arcticom LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking an experienced Data Analyst at Joint Base Andrews, MD. We are looking for an experienced professional to assist in developing metadata frameworks, ensuring data quality, and support the implementation of data management practices. Responsibilities include assisting in cataloging systems to the DoD data platform, managing data protection and lineage, overseeing data ingestion pipelines, and enforcing data guardrail standards. The role also involves supporting business users with training and documentation for data tools and technologies.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Establish metadata framework and coordinate with stakeholder and collect data maturity assessmentsEstablish data quality management practicesConstruct queries and analyze results in order to make recommendations Assist in implementing common services to publish, search, and discover data. Assist in implementing metadata standards including location and access methods for shared data. Assist cataloging systems and their data to Department of Defense (DoD) federated data catalog platform. Assist in implementing tagging and maintaining all appropriate data and records in accordance with established processes and policies.  Assist in implementing data protection, lineage, and pedigree metadata bound throughout its lifecycle. Assist oversight of data ingestions pipelines and monitor data quality.Assist in documenting and monitoring data exchange specifications (Memorandums of Agreement) Establish, implement and monitor Data Guardrail standards and policies.Assist in ensuring enterprise platforms and platform services create, retrieve, share, utilize, and manage data.  Support training sessions and office hours to business users. Create training documentation to on board users and related tools and technology. Required (Minimum) Qualifications

Must be US Citizen​1-3 years of experience Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or  equivalent experience/combined educationInterim Secret minimum requiredDC Metro Area able to go into client site (Andrews AFB) 3 x weekBack-end engineer Experience with Advana (FASTR enclave preferably)     

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting.  Typical work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Eastern Time). Job may require additional hours. Work hours may change at Management’s discretion with or without prior notice.  Travel (local and continental United States) may be required at the determination of the USAF.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a non-supervisory position

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
