In this role, the successful candidate will work in the Department of Population Health, to oversee and support mathematical modelling research focused on comparative effectiveness and decision science to address a variety of topical areas including HIV, HCV, and opioid use. This is a dynamic position involving coordinating active studies, implementing new projects, and developing new research proposals. A successful applicant will be able to work independently with diverse colleagues and staff at all levels, and comfortable in the academic medical center environment.

Collaborate with the PI and mathematical modelling team to support model development Perform literature reviews and data synthesis in support of modeling aims Elicit model data estimates through meetings with external partners and content experts Assist in model development, including evaluation of model logic through creating schematics Evaluate model assumptions and their interplay in model flow Review model C++ code to cross-check consistency Conduct and interpret statistical analyses for manuscripts, abstracts and progress reports Plan and facilitate regular data checking and quality assurance Update and maintain study databases, assist with data analysis Maintain existing data collection and analysis methods in support of research aims Play an active role in dissemination of findings, including preparation of manuscripts and presentations Organize and maintain research records Attend and facilitate stakeholder workshops and meetings Work with the PI to develop and submit new grant proposals Prepare standard progress reports for research sponsors Assist PI with management of study regulatory tasks, such as preparation of materials for Institutional Review Board and data safety monitoringMinimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Masters Degree in Public Health, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or a related quantitative field and 2 years of relevant work experience.
Proficient in at least one programming language (i.e. SAS, R, or Python).
Experience using data visualization and/or mapping software.
Keen attention to detail and good documentation habits.
Strong quantitative aptitude, desire to learn new skills, and ability to interpret complex analytic information.
Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently
Preferred Qualifications:
Comfort with R, and/or C++; Stata, or SAS. Ability to select and apply appropriate statistical methods for collecting and summarizing data. Experience with literature review and data synthesis. Topic familiarity with HIV, HCV, and/or opioid use disorder and its treatment.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,930.99 – $63,700.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
