Description We are currently on the lookout for a proficient Data Analyst to join our team based near Port Jefferson, New York. In this role, you will be expected to support the team during our ERP implementation project, perform specialized analytical tasks, and make informed recommendations based on data analysis. This position offers a long-term, part time opportunity. Responsibilities: • Assisting in accounting and financial reporting during the ERP implementation project • Utilizing multiple reporting tools such as SUNY Bl, Tableau, OBIEE, Microsoft Excel, and Access for specialized analytical duties • Gathering, evaluating, and analyzing complex information from accounting information systems • Performing data mining with large data sets • Showcasing proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel formulas and functions • Exhibiting excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify key issues • Adapting swiftly to shifting priorities while maintaining a strong customer service orientation • Demonstrating superior interpersonal and communication skills • Collecting, analyzing, and developing data relative to our enterprise and making informed recommendations. Requirements • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role. • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations. • Demonstrated ability to perform Bank Reconciliations. • Comprehensive understanding of General Ledger management. • Experience in creating and managing Journal Entries. • Familiarity with Month End Close procedures. • Proficiency in using NetSuite for financial management. • Hands-on experience with Oracle financial software. • Experience in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks. • Proficiency in SAP and its various modules.
