Position Summary

The Data Analyst will collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions and improve IT operations. This role involves data analysis, reporting, and collaboration with stakeholders.

Objectives:

Assess client’s existing data systems, processes, and governance frameworks to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Provide expert guidance and strategic recommendations to clients on complex data issues focusing on delivering the strategic value and helping clients achieve their business goals through data. Develop and implement data strategies, roadmaps, and solutions that align with client business objectives and industry best practices. Communicates changes, enhancements, and modifications of technology solutions - verbally or through written documentation - to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders

Mandatory Skills:

Demonstrated ability to write complex SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis from relational databases. Practical experience using tools like Excel (advanced functions), R, or Python (with libraries like Pandas/NumPy) for data cleaning, transformation, and statistical analysis. Ability to create clear and compelling visualizations (charts, graphs, dashboards) using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar, to effectively communicate data insights. Proven ability to analyze complex datasets, identify patterns and trends, draw logical conclusions, and formulate actionable recommendations. Ability to translate technical findings into clear, concise, and understandable language for both technical and non-technical audiences, both verbally and in writing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Collect, clean, and transform data from various sources into usable formats for analysis covering the foundational data preparation work. Develop and maintain data dictionaries, data models, and other data documentation to ensure consistency and understanding of the data landscape. Perform statistical analysis, data mining, and other analytical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights highlighting core analytical skills. Create and deliver clear and concise data visualizations, reports, and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders emphasizing on the effective communication of insights. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable analysis plans. Ensure data quality and integrity through validation, testing, and monitoring of the data sources and analysis processes maintaining data accuracy and reliability. Proactively identify and investigate data anomalies, discrepancies, and errors, and recommend corrective actions and having proactive problem-solving aptitude. Develop and maintain automated data analysis processes and tools to improve efficiency and scalability. Stay up-to-date with the latest data analysis techniques, tools, and technologies and apply them to improve analysis outcomes showcasing continuous learning attitude. Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures showing involvement in broader data management practices.

Qualifications & Certifications (Optional):

Bachelors/ Masters degree in IT, Data Science or equivalent 3 years or more of relevant experience Strong data analyst and problem solving skills Ability to write, speak and lead in the English language Ability to adjust chosen wording to audience skills as needed Strong IT affinity Experience in presenting at business meetings Experience working in a virtual team

Salary Range: $85,000-$95,000
